A typical day at In Toto London

​A day at In Toto Ed begins with a warm welcome as soon as students walk through the door. After storing phones and other personal electronics in their lockers, pupils head to the common room to collect their iPad and planner before being greeted by their class teacher. 

Throughout the day, students engage in a variety of activities that cater to their individual needs and interests. During break times they can enjoy a slice of toast, explore the sensory room, or challenge each other in games of table tennis and table football. Our school hamster Toto is also on hand to delight and support the pupils. 

Assemblies are held once a week, and educational and reward trips are organised throughout the term, providing valuable learning experiences beyond the classroom. Each student follows a personalised programme and unique schedule, which results in staggered departure times at the end of the day.

KS3 and 4

As an alternative provision, we are only able to offer students a maximum of 15 hours per week in school in all key stages.

The KS3&4 school day is periods 1-4 Tuesday-Thursday, and periods 1-3 on Monday.

Some Key Stage 3 and 4 students are on personalised timetables and their 15 hours will be spread across the day, between 8.45am and 4.30pm

16+

The local authority funds up to 16 hours a week for post-16 students, and this is classed as full-time education. These 16 hours are spread out across the week and may look a little different depending on which pathway a student is following.

Some students might be in four days a week for shorter sessions, while others might have longer days but fewer of them. The school day can run from 8.45am until 4.30pm.
