  • Attendance

We expect all students to attend every lesson scheduled on their timetable. Good attendance is essential to ensure progress is made - and it also enables staff to give students the support they need.

If you are unable to attend your lesson, a parent, carer, social worker, foster parent or a representative from your housing organisation must contact the school on the first day of absence. We will also undertake home visits for unexplained absence or when we have concerns about the welfare of absent student.

    • Students must arrive at school by 08.45 each morning.

    • Students in Years 7-11 are not allowed off site at any time during the school day - this includes lunchtime.
    • Absence and lateness must be notified to the school via Londonattendance@in-toto-ed.com or call 0203 691 4053. Please remember to include your child’s full name and reason for absence in the message and send from your registered email address. Absence due to illness should be notified by 8:30 on the day of absence, and each consecutive day unless informed otherwise.

    • Medical or other appointments should be made outside school hours whenever possible. If students have to leave school during the day for any reason, parents must let us know via email to Londonattendance@in-toto-ed.com together with supporting evidence (you can also hand evidence in at reception).

    • Students must sign OUT via reception.
    • Parents and carers do not have the right to take a child out of school during term time. The Head of School may authorise such leaves of absence in exceptional circumstances. Any such absence must be requested by the completion and submission of the form below. Exceptional circumstances may include a one off, never-to-be repeated occasion e.g. a close family wedding or funeral.

Like all schools, we have a responsibility to ensure that our students are kept safe, and the most effective way for us to do this is to see them on a daily basis. To support us in this, all parents and carers have a legal duty to ensure regular school attendance.
