  • SEND

In Toto Ed offers a Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) provision that offers personalised support for each student.  We work closely with parents, carers and other professionals to ensure that we are able to support SEND students to access the education they deserve.

We engage with a number of professionals from Educational Psychologists and Occupational Therapists to Speech and Language Therapists and ELSA practitioners. We aim to provide the best education experience for all students, which involves getting to know SEND students well and communicating with them and their parents/carers regularly, in order to make sure we are continually supporting them.

The SEND offering covers the breadth of the entire curriculum and for those with EHCPs, we ensure the support is put in place for the young people we work with. Our SENCO collaborates with all members of staff in the school to make sure that a cohesive learning environment is achieved.

Above all, the SEND department aims to enable students to achieve their goals, embrace their individual needs, and to see the benefits to their neurodiversity, paying due regard to the 2015 SEND Code of Practice.

    Meet: Stephanie Noble

Stephanie is the SENCO in London, and is dedicated to ensuring that every student receives the support they need to thrive. Each day, she spends time helping students who might need a bit of extra support, whether through one-on-one sessions or small group work. This focused approach allows her to address specific challenges and provide personalised guidance and support for every student.

Stephanie is also responsible for making sure that the strategies outlined in each student's Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) are properly implemented. She works closely with teachers and support staff to adapt lessons and resources to meet individual needs, ensuring that every student's plan is followed. Additionally, Stephanie leads the annual review process for each student’s EHCP. This involves assessing their progress and making any necessary adjustments to keep the plans effective and relevant.

Beyond this, Stephanie is a key source of support for both staff and students. She offers guidance to teachers on how to best support their students and is always available to provide encouragement and help to students who might need it. Her role is all about creating an inclusive and supportive environment at In Toto Ed, where every student has the opportunity to succeed.

While Stephanie will be your main point of contact for SEN, all of our staff are experienced in working with young people with complex needs.

    Intervention

Our intervention strategies are guided by the principles outlined in the London SEND Information Report, ensuring that every young person receives the tailored support they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

    Our Commitment to Inclusive Practice

We believe that every student has the right to access a high-quality education that meets their individual needs. In line with SEND best practice across London, we work closely with families, professionals, and the young people themselves to deliver a graduated response to need – from universal support to targeted and specialist interventions.
