Operation Encompass is a partnership between the police and education settings that helps us provide timely and appropriate support to children and young people who may have experienced or been exposed to domestic abuse.

Through Operation Encompass, our designated safeguarding staff may be informed by the police when a child or young person in our care has been involved in, or affected by, a domestic abuse incident. This information is shared securely and in confidence, enabling us to understand that a young person may need additional support, reassurance or flexibility.

At In Toto Ed, the safety and wellbeing of every young person is at the heart of what we do. Being part of Operation Encompass helps us respond sensitively and appropriately, while maintaining the privacy and dignity of the children, young people and families we support.
