Work experience

As part of our Childcare course, students are required to complete a set number of work experience hours within the local community, such as in schools or libraries.

We are delighted to have secured a range of valuable placements that allow our students to develop their skills in real-world settings.

One of our students is currently undertaking their placement at Rucksack Music, where they support a variety of activities. Their role includes encouraging student engagement, assisting with musical instruments, helping to maintain a safe environment, and contributing to a fun and supportive learning atmosphere.

In addition, two of our students are completing their work experience at one of our local primary schools, John Ball. One student is supporting lunchtime supervision, ensuring that children are safe, happy, and well cared for. The other is assisting within the classroom, building confidence and skills while working towards reading to the whole class.

We have had a fantastic autumn term so far, and all of our students have made excellent progress in their placements. We are incredibly proud of their dedication and the positive contributions they are making within our community.
