Sports round-up - July 2026

The PE Department has been extremely busy in our final term of school.

Starting with a sponsored run/jog/walk on the 4th of June.

Our sponsored run was a 1km loop in Greenwich Park.  The students managed to run a combined total of 206km (128.75 miles) overall, which is equivalent to five London marathons!

In all our efforts we managed to raise over £500!

On the 8th of July we had our sports day.

Students from Years 7–10 competed in a variety of fun and challenging running, jumping and throwing team events.

Staff and students joined forces to compete and everyone gave their best in both effort and ability, making our first ever sports day so memorable.

The school would like to say a huge thank you to Long Lane JFC for providing an outstanding venue/facility to allow our students to have the best experience possible!

KS3 & KS4 have been very busy participating in a healthy lifestyle programme associated with Better Gym. This has covered all aspects of health, including diet, hygiene, exercise, sleep, nutrition and much more. Better still, all of the students that managed to complete the course have now got themselves a free gym membership for the summer holidays.

KS3 have also been taking part in kayaking, sailing, bell-boating, canoeing and climbing at Danson Park with professional instructors.

We look forward to offering all this and more next year!
