  • Meet the London SEN Department

At In Toto Ed, we’re incredibly proud of our Special Educational Needs (SEN) Department; a team dedicated to making sure every young person feels supported, included, and empowered to achieve their very best.

Supporting every learner: Inside our SEN Department

    Putting young people first

Our mission is simple: to make sure every young person can access high-quality teaching that’s tailored to their individual needs. We believe inclusion isn’t just about support, it’s about celebrating differences and helping everyone reach their full potential.

    What we do

Every day, our team works to create the best possible learning experience for our young people. We:

    • Coordinate annual reviews to make sure each young person’s support plan is up to date and effective.
    • Deliver SEN training to staff, sharing strategies and best practice to promote inclusion in every classroom.
    • Run targeted interventions that build confidence, independence, and learning skills.
    • Monitor provision to ensure every young person receives the right support at the right time.
    • Work with other professionals such as educational psychologists and therapists to make sure support is consistent and well-coordinated.
    • Provide supported work experience, helping young people develop practical skills, confidence, and independence as they prepare for adulthood and future employment.

    Learning that adapts

We know that every young person learns differently and that is something we embrace. Our department works closely with teachers to adapt lessons so that everyone can take part, stay engaged, and experience success. Whether through tailored resources, assistive technology, or small-group sessions, we make learning accessible for all.

    A passionate team

Our SEN team is made up of caring, experienced professionals who go the extra mile for our young people. From our SENCO, Stephanie, to our Assistant SENCO, Meliz, to our learning support assistants, we share a commitment to creating a positive, nurturing environment where every learner can flourish.

    Working together

Partnership is key to what we do. We work closely with parents, carers, and outside agencies to make sure every young person receives consistent, high-quality support. Together, we celebrate progress, overcome challenges, and focus on what matters most; helping young people succeed.

    Our commitment

Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. The SEN Department is proud to be part of a school community that values individuality and believes in the potential of every young person.
