At In Toto Ed, we believe recognising effort and achievement is key to motivating students and celebrating their successes. That’s why we use a structured rewards system that encourages positive behaviour, engagement in lessons, and a sense of personal responsibility.
Students collect signatures from teachers or support staff throughout the day, typically one or two per lesson, ensuring that rewards remain meaningful and earned through genuine effort. The points system is flexible, allowing students to save points for bigger rewards or redeem them sooner if they wish.
When a reward is claimed, points are recorded in Arbor and the total is reset to zero, keeping the system transparent and easy to track. We also display a daily rewards slideshow in both buildings, so students and staff can see the latest updates and celebrate achievements together.
Examples of Rewards
10 points → Drink and snack at break time (Thursday)
15 points → Costa drink or PS4 at break with Josh
30 points → Own clothes day
40 points → Chip shop meal or Greggs meal deal (Monday 12pm)
50 points → £20 voucher of choice
This system is about more than just points; it’s about recognising effort, encouraging positive choices, and giving students something to strive for each day. By making achievements visible and tangible, we help students stay motivated and engaged, while celebrating the hard work they put into their learning.
