  • Houses

The School House system is at the heart of our community, fostering a powerful sense of belonging and connection for every student. Being part of a House means actively supporting your peers, showing respect, and working collaboratively across all year groups to make our school a stronger, more connected community. Houses serve as dynamic hubs where students are encouraged to develop leadership and responsibility, encourage teamwork, and participate in fun events that create healthy competition. Students earn valuable House points for their effort, achievement, and acts of kindness, and the collective desire to celebrate achievements together truly reinforces the spirit and strength of their House.

    The Peterborough Houses:

    Perkins House

Named after Frank Perkins, a pioneering engineer and entrepreneur, Perkins House stands for innovation, problem-solving, and perseverance. Frank Perkins co-founded Perkins Engines in Peterborough, revolutionising diesel engine design and creating lasting opportunities in British industry. Students in Perkins House are encouraged to embrace challenge, think creatively, and show determination in all they do.

    Cavell House

Named after Edith Cavell, a courageous nurse from Norfolk who saved the lives of soldiers from all sides during World War I, Cavell House embodies compassion, bravery, and integrity. Edith Cavell's commitment to humanity and justice continues to inspire our students to show kindness, stand up for others, and make a positive difference in their communities.

    Mandela House

Nelson Mandela (1918–2013) was a South African anti-apartheid leader, freedom fighter and the country’s first Black president. Imprisoned for 27 years for resisting racist rule, he became a global symbol of courage and justice. After his release, he helped end apartheid and led South Africa’s transition to democracy in 1994. As president, he prioritised unity, human rights and reconciliation. Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993, Mandela continued to champion equality and education through the Nelson Mandela Foundation. His legacy endures as a powerful reminder of resilience and the struggle for freedom.
