  • GCSE and examination success

Our students have now completed their GCSE examinations, having worked hard to prepare themselves as thoroughly as possible for the challenges ahead. Although our students can find this very difficult and apply a lot of pressure on themselves, their dedication and commitment have placed them in the best possible position as they look forward to starting college in September.

This year's examination programme included GCSE English Language, Mathematics (Foundation and Higher), Statistics, Physics and Biology, alongside AS Level English Language and Literature. Throughout the exam season, students demonstrated maturity and resilience, arriving early for examinations, making full use of revision sessions, and using every minute of each exam effectively to give themselves the best possible chance of success.

The examination period began in May with English, Mathematics, Biology and the AS-level examinations. Students then welcomed the half-term break, providing a valuable opportunity to rest, recharge and prepare for the second half of the exam season. This continued with the first Statistics paper, before concluding two weeks later with the final Physics examination.

Alongside the GCSEs and AS-levels, many students also completed City & Guilds Construction qualifications and Functional Skills examinations in English and Mathematics. Once again, they approached these assessments with excellent preparation, determination and a positive attitude.

We are incredibly proud of the effort, resilience and determination shown by all of our students throughout this demanding period. We wish them every success when results are released and all the very best as they begin the next exciting chapter of their educational journey at college.
