Maths update - July 2026

Over the past term, we have spent a lot of time focusing on revision and preparing for mathematics assessments, and are really pleased to share that students have approached this positively and with great effort.

As we head into the summer holidays, this is a great opportunity for students to keep their skills ticking over in a relaxed way. Even a small amount of regular practice can make a big difference and help them feel confident when they return in September.

Here are some free and accessible resources that students can use at home:

  • BBC Bitesize (KS1–KS4): Easy-to-follow videos, revision guides, and quizzes.
  • NRICH: Fun and challenging activities to get students thinking more deeply.
  • Mathsframe: Interactive games to practise key maths skills in an enjoyable way.
  • Times Tables Rock Stars (limited free access): A fun way to build speed and confidence with times tables.
  • Corbettmaths: Helpful videos and practice questions for regular revision.

Students can also keep their maths skills sharp by using them in everyday life; whether that is helping with shopping, cooking, or planning activities and budgeting. These small moments can really help build confidence and understanding!
