It’s been a busy and successful term across Maths and Science, with students building key skills, completing mock exams, and preparing for their upcoming assessments.
It’s been a fantastic term in Construction, with students showcasing their practical skills, achieving key milestones, and taking exciting steps towards future careers in the industry.
This term in Science at In Toto Peterborough has been full of exciting updates and milestones. From hands-on experiments to mock exams in Biology and Physics, our students have been developing their knowledge, skills, and confidence, setting the stage for continued growth and success in their scientific studies.
In our last update we mentioned that we were reviewing and developing our therapeutic provision. We are pleased to share some recent updates.
We now have a number of organisations who have agreed to take some of our students on work programmes, and we will be working closely with our students this term, to match them with the correct placement, and to prepare them for these opportunities.
We held a Careers Week from March 2-7, to help refocus our students on their next steps as they prepare for their exams.
Preparing for your Year 11 exams can feel overwhelming, but with the right approach, revision becomes much more manageable.
As part of our Childcare course, students are required to complete a set number of work experience hours within the local community, such as in schools or libraries.
Some of our students have been gaining valuable work experience at St Margaret’s Church in Lee, supporting the brilliant community initiative, Tea for Free.
On Thursday 26th February, three of our post-16 students boarded the train to explore the world of Choices College – an educational/work experience offering for post-16 students that can lead to paid employment and developing workplace employment skills.
Our construction students, studying Level 1 6219 Multi-Skilled Construction and the Level 2 Site Carpentry and Joinery Diploma, are off to a fantastic start. Through hands-on learning and practical experience, they are beginning their journey towards becoming skilled tradespeople, building confidence, knowledge and real-world skills from the outset.
