
It’s been a focused and productive term across Maths and Science, with students working hard to prepare for exams while continuing to build their knowledge and confidence across a range of topics.
Maths
This term, all students have been working extremely hard in preparation for their examinations. GCSEs began in May, and students have shown great determination and focus throughout the exam period. Functional Skills students are also preparing well and will be taking their examinations towards the end of this half term.
Year 10 students have been developing their knowledge and confidence across a range of topics. In numbers, they have been learning about powers, index laws, and standard form. In algebra, students have been plotting linear graphs and have recently been introduced to quadratic graphs. In geometry, they have been exploring the areas of a variety of shapes, including compound shapes.
Science
In Science this term, Biology students have been working hard to prepare for their GCSE examinations, which began in May. Students have demonstrated excellent commitment to their revision and practical understanding, and we are very proud of the effort and positive attitude they have shown.
