PE update - October 2026

Students at In Toto Ed Cambridge have made a positive start to sport this half-term, showing enthusiasm and making encouraging progress across a range of activities.

They have enjoyed trying out our new athletics equipment, developing their skills and taking on new challenges. Students have also begun learning the basics of using the gym, with a focus on safe use of equipment and building confidence in an unfamiliar environment.

iPads have proved a popular addition to PE lessons, with students using them to create and play fun games that bring variety to their sessions and encourage creativity.

Football has provided valuable opportunities to develop teamwork and communication, with particularly pleasing progress from our Year 7 group as they learn to work together, support one another and recognise the value of everyone’s contribution.

Our Key Stage 4 Level 2 Sport students have made a promising start to their qualification, engaging positively with the course and beginning to build their knowledge and understanding of sport. It has been encouraging to see their willingness to learn as they take this next step in their studies.

Our Post-16 student has also settled in well and has enthusiastically begun exploring the new course.

Across all groups, this half-term has offered opportunities to develop sporting skills alongside confidence, cooperation and communication. We are pleased with the positive start students have made and look forward to supporting them as they build on this progress next half-term.
