Exam Results Collection Details

We would really like you to come in to collect your results on Thursday 20th August between 9am-11am.

We will be based in Unit 8 (where the main reception is behind the gated area) and would very much like to share this moment with you after all the hard work and effort you have put in to sitting the exams.

If you are unable to collect your results in person, you must provide Rachael Joslin – Exams Officer – with either

  • a signed letter of authorisation detailing your permission for us to issue your results to the nominated person. This letter must detail your name, the name of the person you want to collect on your behalf, and your signature must be present. The nominated person must bring a copy of the letter and valid photo ID with them as results cannot be handed to anyone else without prior written consent.
  • a signed letter of authorisation detailing your permission for us to email your results to a nominated email address. This letter must detail your name, the correct email you would like your results sent to; and you the email address is not associated with you, the name of the person and their relationship to you.

Please note that if you choose not to collect your results in person and wish for them to be emailed, these will be actioned after 11am so that staff are available onsite for those students attending. Any uncollected results will be posted to your home address on the afternoon of results day.

Post-Results Services

Following the release of results, the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) offers several post-results services through the exam boards (e.g. AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR). If you are concerned about a specific grade, the following services are available:

  • Access to Scripts (ATS): You can request a copy of your marked exam paper to review your performance. This is particularly useful if you need to decide whether to request a review of marking.
  • Clerical Re-check (Service 1): An administrative check to ensure all parts of the exam were marked, that all marks were counted, and that results were correctly recorded by the exam board.
  • Review of Marking (Service 2): A thorough review of the original marking to ensure the mark scheme was applied correctly.
  • Review of Moderation (Service 3): A review of the initial moderation process for internally assessed coursework/practical components to ensure assessment criteria were fairly and consistently applied.
Important Considerations & Consent

Please be aware that by requesting a clerical re-check or a review of marking, your overall subject grade can increase, decrease, or stay the same. You must sign a candidate consent form before the school can submit any post-results requests to the exam boards. These forms can be obtained from Rachael Joslin.

Deadlines and Fees

Any requests for any post result services must go through the Exams Officer who will be able to advise you of the process and the appropriate level of service required. Deadlines and fees apply for these services, and forms and payments must be submitted to the Exams Officer ahead of the deadlines detailed below.
