The In Toto Ed Art Studio has enjoyed an inspiring and energetic term, with students working hard towards their individual art qualifications. The studio has been buzzing with creativity as learners explored a wide range of themes, materials and techniques, each developing their own artistic voice.

Daniel has pushed the boundaries of traditional processes by creating spin paintings on the pottery wheel, echoing the vibrant style of Damien Hirst.
Simmer has taken a more conceptual approach, crafting a striking paper chain symbolising the grip of addiction, with gambling as the central vice. Responding to the research theme Silence vs Noise, Lucy has constructed an imaginative cardboard city as part of her construction qualification, while Luna explored the same theme digitally, expressing it through her own avatar persona.

Mathilda has produced a thoughtful and sensitive drawing from a still-life arrangement, demonstrating strong observational skills. Tiana’s project, exploring Tradition vs Change, has seen her learn crochet to create a unique “tree hug,” blending craft with contemporary ideas. Meanwhile, Noah has continued developing his miniature world animation sets, bringing exciting new elements to his media work.
This term, we were also delighted to welcome new KS4 students, who have thrown themselves into experimenting with a wide array of techniques – from collage and clay tiles to vibrant tie-dye responses to the Silence vs Noise theme.

It has been a wonderfully busy and productive period, with a fantastic atmosphere in the art studio. Students have stayed focused, producing work that truly reflects their effort and enthusiasm. The creativity at In Toto Ed Art Studio continues to flourish, promising even more exciting achievements in the terms ahead.
