    Assistant Head (Cambridge - SENCO)

Amy Hammond is the Assistant Head - SENCo of In Toto Cambridge. She joins us after extensive experience in SEMH schools as both a SENCO and class teacher.

Amy’s teaching journey began during her gap year, when she worked as a junior tutor in an independent school. This helped her decide to become an educator, after which she gained a BSc Maths with Technology with QTS from Bishop Grosseteste College in Lincoln. Most recently, she helped open a new SEMH school in 2023, which went on to achieve a Good Ofsted inspection in 2024.

In addition to her BSc, Amy has an MA in Leadership & Education, a certificate in Therapeutic Play, and has been a mentor and marker for aspiring SENCOs through the NASENCo Award for over five years. She looks forward to gaining leadership experience in her role as Deputy Head, and utilising her SENCO knowledge to support students with a successful journey through the provision.
